How to Set up Awards for a Goal Based Group
Goal-based Groups are meant to keep readers on a set reading schedule.
A goal-based Group sets an amount of reading to accomplish over a given interval. An interval can be daily, weekly, monthly or the duration of the program, examples include:
Read 20 minutes per day from May 1 to August 31 -- Daily goal to read 20 minutes
Read 1 book per week from Jan 1 to December 31 -- Weekly goal to read 1 book
Read 600 minutes per month from September 1 to may 31 -- Monthly goal to read 600 minutes
Read 1800 minutes from June 1 to July 31 -- Duration of program goal to read a total of 1800 minutes
Awards trigger when a reader successfully reaches a reading goal for a percentage of the total intervals throughout the program.
The intervals are set to keep readers on track.
Example 1: Goal is to read 1800 minutes between June 1 and July 31, 2020.
Example 2: Read 100 minutes per week between June 1 and August 31, 2020.
Example2: Goal is to read 20 minutes a day between June 1 and July 30, 2020.
