Knowledge is power, reading is the pathway to knowledge. Let the children read!

Reader Zone is guided by these goals:

  • Help children become proficient, life-long readers.
  • Provide educators with access to real-time reading data to help students succeed.
  • Make Reader Zone easy for educators and families to use.

Reader Zone helps libraries, schools and families track reading progress with powerful internet and mobile technology. Reader Zone has been built with input from librarians and teachers all over the world. It is simple, powerful and beautiful. There is no limitation to the size and type of organization that can use the service.

Reader Zone is a free service provided by Children’s Bookstore.

Reader Zone was founded by Jake Ball. Jake and his wife have 3 school-age children and one who will soon begin school. Jake has filled out dozens of reading calendars, all the while knowing that technology offers a more reliable and user-friendly way to collect reading data.

Everyone involved with Reader Zone is hyper-focused on making a product that adds real value to educators and families. We hope to save several forests of trees along the way by eliminating the out-dated paper reading calendar.

Reader Zone is fully independent. It is not owned by a global conglomerate, large education software company or the like. We’re a small and nimble organization focused on building a new generation of readers.

Feedback regarding how the system works and how we can make it better is welcome. Please email us your feedback and suggestions!
